Edge of Silence is one of those paintings that seemed to have a mind of its own from the very beginning.
Created using Black 4.0, one of the blackest paints available, the deep black background creates an incredible sense of depth and allows the textured centre to really come alive. Depending on the light, it can feel like a distant horizon, a hidden coastline, an aerial view of a landscape, or something else entirely.
What I love most about this piece is that everyone seems to see something different in it.
Some people see calm.
Some see strength.
Some see a crack of light in the darkness.
For me, it feels like that quiet moment when everything settles. The noise fades away, the dust settles, and you can finally hear yourself think again.
