Still Moving is about movement that doesn’t quite stop. The sweep of the landscape, the broken textures and those deep earthy layers all seem to pull across the canvas, while the softer space above gives everything room to breathe.
Charcoal, stone, warm umber and rust sit against soft greys and muted blue, with heavily worked areas revealing themselves differently as the light changes.
There’s something raw and elemental about this one. It could be rock, water, weather or land shifting beneath you. I deliberately haven’t defined it. I love that it can become somewhere completely different depending on who is looking at it.
Painted alongside The Other Side, the two share the same earthy palette and textural qualities and work beautifully as a pair, while each has its own character and story.
