Wilding Sky is a richly textured abstract that explores movement, atmosphere and the quiet pull of the natural world.
Working in portrait format, the composition draws the eye upward through shifting layers of blue where cloud-like forms swirl and drift across the canvas. The upper section feels expansive and alive with motion — dramatic in places, yet soft and immersive.
The lower part of the painting settles into earthy tones of turquoise, yellow ochre and layered neutrals, built up with deep texture and mixed media. These tactile surfaces give the piece weight and grounding, contrasting with the openness above.
